Drum birthing:

The day shall commence by creating a sacred space, and by journeying with Mama Cacao to connect with our heart song - our individually personal, unique, vibrational sound.

As the ritual continues, we build a magical relationship with the spirit of our hoop and hide.

While using the hide to create and birth the drum; we shall respect the animal that once was, and, indeed, honour the legacy of that animal’s being.

You may choose between Water Buffalo, Goat, Camel, or Horse.

We shall also honour the spirit of the tree from which the hoops derive.

The hides and hoops are ethically sourced and are lovingly prepared for you.

You shall be guided through a sacred journey, with wisdom passed down from our ancestors, to meet and greet the spirit of your drum - your amazing lifelong friend, ally, teacher, and healer.

Your drum shall be made/birthed in ancient and traditional ways.

The lacing which binds the drum together is cut from the same hide, thus keeping the spirit of the animal deep within the drum.

We provide materials to make your drum beater; however, we recommend you opt to personalise your beater by choosing a wooden handle/stick of about 10 inches in length to bring with you.

You may wish to forage your handle from woodland or the earthland alike.

Equally, you may also like to choose a special piece of material from which to forge the head of your beater, approximately 15 to 20 square inches.

Cacao and all materials provided,
